Lyonel Feininger: 'Silver Star Picture' (1924), framed
Lyonel Feininger: 'Silver Star Picture' (1924), framed
A cubistically animated pictorial creation with sky-storming cathedrals and silver stars interwoven in mystical green. Original: oil on canvas, privately owned. This limited-edition masterpiece by Feininger is produced using an elaborate collotype process. This technique, which is very rare today and over 140 years old, makes it possible to depict true half-tones, i.e. to reproduce them completely and not through halftone dots of the primary colours. The valuable sheets bear witness to the highest level of artistic sensitivity during production. The result is colours that are true to the original, which art connoisseurs in particular desire and which also do justice to the sensitive colourfulness of Feininger's works.nine colours on collotype board, limited edition of 1,000 copies. © by courtesy of the Estate of Lyonel Feininger. In a sophisticated solid wood frame with bevelled passe-partout, dust-proof glazing. Format 72 x 60 cm (H/W).

Lyonel Feininger: Picture 'The Grützturm in Treptow an der Rega' (1928), framed
During his stays at the Baltic Sea, Feininger also discovered the hinterland of the Rega estuary. The river framed the small town of Treptow in West Pomerania on three sides. The German-American painter constructed his picture from the medieval Grützturm tower, parts of the town wall and the neighbouring houses. But as present as the buildings may be, the blue of the river behind them and the bright sky penetrate the city motif. With his prismatic surfaces, Feininger visualises the intertwining of the different levels of perception. Original: oil on canvas, Hessisches Landesmuseum, Darmstadt. High-quality reproduction in a sophisticated solid wood frame with passe-partout, glazed. Size 82.7 x 71.2 cm (H/W).

Marc Chagall: Picture 'Bouquet de Renoncules' (1968), unframed
For Picasso, he was the undisputed master of colour, following in the footsteps of Renoir. He was also a great storyteller: Marc Chagall's work, with its imagery often fuelled by his roots in rural Eastern European Judaism, tells stories and speaks directly to the emotions of the viewer. The 'Bouquet de Renoncules' from 1968 is considered to be the artist's declaration of love to his second wife Valentina Brodsky. The farmhouse and fruit basket on the left refer to his home in Vitebsk in present-day Belarus, and it is probably also significant that Chagall has the iconographically obvious red rose surrounded by a wreath of yellow buttercups - the flower that gives the work its title can be found in many peasant gardens. Original: 1968, oil, gouache and pastel chalk on paper on canvas, 65 x 50.5 cm, Halcyon Gallery, London. This edition as a giclée facsimile on Hahnemühle watercolour paper Fine Art textured matt white 210g/sqm guarantees a special colour saturation and is absolutely lightfast. Print run of 980 copies. Unframed. Motif size 52 x 40 cm (H/W). Sheet size 62 x 50 cm (H/W). © 'Christie's Ltd'-Artothek / © VG Bild-Kunst, Bonn 2021. ars mundi exclusive edition.

Marc Chagall: Picture 'Fleurs sur fond rouge' (1970), framed
Chagall and flowers: the circus, the cow, the horse, the cockerel, the man playing the violin - there is a whole arsenal of recurring pictorial motifs in Chagall's work that have long been the subject of comprehensive art historical analyses. Flowers are omnipresent in his works and occupied him throughout his life as a pictorial element, but also repeatedly as a motif for individual works. A particularly beautiful example are his flowers against a red background, which he created in 1970 - at the age of 83, when he would be granted another decade and a half to live and create. High-quality reproduction on watercolour paper. Sheet size 70 x 70 cm. © SABAM Belgium 2005 Photo Scala, Firenze. Framed in a sophisticated gold-coloured solid wood frame with bevel cut passe-partout, glazed. Size 79 x 79 cm.

Marc Chagall: Picture 'Le Violoniste Bleu' (1947), framed
Chagall's little night music: one of his most famous paintings, 'Le Violoniste Bleu', painted in 1947, is a magnificent example of his art: childhood memories from his Russian home village of Vitebsk are mixed with romantic motifs from Paris, the city of love. The laws of gravity are just as suspended in Chagall's work as central perspective or causality: the famous painter has the giant figure of the violinist hovering on a stool in the blue sky above the roofs of his home village of Vitebsk. The seat of the stool is folded into the picture plane. In contrast, the picture appears to be infinite in depth. A glowing bouquet of flowers appears beneath the moon, and three small birds settle on the flying musician. The moonlight bathes the scene in a silvery blue light, while the violinist plays a lovely night song to the world. Original in private ownership. ars mundi giclée facsimile in museum quality, captivating with its fine and faithful colour reproduction and extraordinary image sharpness. With a resolution of 1,440 dpi and its colour sensitivity, the giclée facsimile surpasses traditional printing processes. The 308g Hahnemühlen handmade paper guarantees exceptional colour saturation. Absolutely lightfast. Limited edition of 1,000 copies. ars mundi exclusive edition. Motif size 50 x 66 cm. Sheet size 60 x 80 cm. Framed in silver solid wood classic frame with passe-partout.
