Product information "Max Pechstein: Picture 'Sunset' (1925), black framed version"

What Tahiti was to Paul Gauguin, the Baltic Sea coast was to Max Pechstein: a paradise where he found peace and, above all, great inspiration. Pechstein travelled to the Baltic coast every summer for over twenty years. With a pipe in the corner of his mouth, a tan and a tattoo of an anchor, Pechstein, a passionate angler, was accompanied by the pristine nature with its beach lakes and the fishing boats in the harbour for the rest of his life. High-quality reproduction on heavy Hahnemühle laid paper. Framed in a handmade, black solid wood frame with passe-partout, glazed. Limited edition of 199 copies, numbered on the reverse. Format approx. 51 x 62 cm (H/W). ars mundi exclusive edition. © 2022 Pechstein Hamburg / Preetz.
