Ernst Ludwig Kirchner lived in Davos, Switzerland, from 1918 until his death in 1938. During this time, he made the mountain landscape and its inhabitants his central pictorial theme. In this painting, Kirchner worked predominantly with cool colour tones, making the clear mountain air and the tranquillity of the Alpine landscape palpable. Edition transferred directly onto artist's canvas using the fine art giclée process and stretched onto a stretcher frame. Limited edition of 100 copies, numbered, with certificate.
