Product information "August Macke: Picture 'Staudacherhaus in Tegernsee' (1910), version framed in gold colour"

August Macke spent the period between November 1909 and November 1910 at Lake Tegernsee in the 'Staudacherhaus', which his newlywed wife Elisabeth described as follows: 'The house was a solid farmhouse, in the family for generations, with tradition and culture preserved. August was able to work freely and unhindered, especially as Staudacher made an old empty workshop available to him as a studio. And so almost 200 works were created here in one year. Original: oil on canvas, 41.5 x 40 cm (H/W), Ziegler Collection Foundation in the Mülheim an der Ruhr Art Museum. The original artwork was applied directly to an artist's canvas made of 100% cotton using the elaborate fine art giclée process, sealed with artist's varnish and stretched on a solid wooden stretcher frame. Limited edition of 980 copies with numbered certificate on the reverse. Framed in a gold-coloured solid wood frame. Format 73 x 70 cm (H/W).
