August Macke spent the period between November 1909 and November 1910 at Lake Tegernsee in the 'Staudacherhaus', which his newlywed wife Elisabeth described as follows: 'The house was a solid farmhouse, in the family for generations, with tradition and culture preserved. August was able to work freely and unhindered, especially as Staudacher made an old empty workshop available to him as a studio. And so almost 200 works were created here in one year. Original: oil on canvas, 41.5 x 40 cm (H/W), Ziegler Collection Foundation in the Mülheim an der Ruhr Art Museum. Edition in sixteen-colour collotype on laid paper. Limited world edition of 333 copies. Framed in silver-coloured solid wood frame, glazed. Format 60 x 58 cm (H/W). Lucas Lichtdruck GmbH; Edition + Verlag, 1991.
