August Macke: Picture 'Mädchen am Springbrunnen' (1913), version framed in black and silver colour

Product information "August Macke: Picture 'Mädchen am Springbrunnen' (1913), version framed in black and silver colour"

August Macke was able to make the colours on the canvas glow like no other. The scenes he painted always told of the cheerful and carefree side of life. The 'Girls at the Fountain' is one of Macke's late works, in which the influence of Cubism was clearly noticeable: the painting appears to be a composition of countless small areas and geometric shapes - almost like a church window.
